It was called "The Peace River Trail". The government used it to open up the north country area (Alberta)." The book published by The Ryerson Press entitled SODBUSTERS INVADE THE PEACE, is now out of print, available only in archives and libraries. Gertrude Mattinson was guest of honor at Bezanson, Alta., 1986. Also, an article from THE GRAND PRAIRIE HERALD TRIBUNE 7/30/88: "Percy and Gertrude Bezanson chased after Uncle's Dream" includes pictures of Gertrude & Percy."9
